1. Acceptance of Terms
By engaging the services of DSTV Experts Gauteng (referred to as "we", "us" or "our") — whether by booking online, by phone, by WhatsApp, by email or by accepting an on-site quotation — you (the "Customer") agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you do not accept any part of these terms, please do not place a booking.
2. Services Provided
We provide accredited DSTV installation, repair, relocation and commissioning services across Johannesburg, Pretoria, Centurion, Midrand and the rest of Gauteng province. Services include but are not limited to:

- DSTV HD Decoder Installation
- DSTV Repair Services
- DSTV Relocation Services
- DSTV Commissioning Services
We are an independent installation provider. We are not a division of, owned by, or directly employed by MultiChoice South Africa. DStv® is a registered trademark of MultiChoice.
3. Bookings & Appointments
Bookings can be made by phone, WhatsApp, email or via the online contact form. A booking is only confirmed once we have provided written or telephonic confirmation of the appointment time. We endeavour to provide same-day service for bookings made before midday, subject to technician availability.
Estimated arrival windows are best-effort guidance. Traffic, weather, prior-job overruns or unforeseen complications may affect timing. Where significant delay occurs we will contact you proactively to reschedule or update the arrival time.
4. Pricing & Quotes
Indicative pricing is provided on this website and during the booking process. Final pricing is confirmed in writing or verbally before any work begins on site. Standard installations are typically quoted at a fixed flat rate. Repairs and complex jobs are quoted with a fixed callout fee plus parts where applicable.
Replacement parts (LNB, F-connectors, coaxial cable, decoders, brackets, etc.) are quoted upfront before installation. We do not start work without your explicit acceptance of the quoted price.
All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and include applicable VAT.
5. Payment Terms
Payment is due in full upon completion of the work, unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept the following payment methods:
- Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) — cleared funds before completion sign-off
- Card payment (where mobile card terminals are deployed)
- Cash, where reasonable amounts are involved
For commercial accounts and pre-approved business customers, 14-day payment terms may be extended at our discretion. Outstanding amounts incur interest at the prime lending rate plus 2% per month.
6. Cancellations & Reschedules
You may cancel or reschedule a booking free of charge up to 2 hours before the agreed arrival time by phone or WhatsApp. Cancellations after this point may incur a callout fee equivalent to a standard service callout, payable at our discretion.
If our technician arrives at the booked address and is unable to perform the work due to no fault of ours (no access, no decoder available, customer not present, gate locked, etc.), a wasted-callout fee will apply.
7. Workmanship Guarantee
Standard installations are covered by a 12-month workmanship guarantee. Standard repairs are covered by a 3-month workmanship guarantee. The guarantee covers our installation work and any parts we supplied:
- Cabling and F-connectors we installed
- Dish mounting and alignment we performed
- LNBs, brackets and weatherproofing we supplied
- Decoder reconnection and smart card pairing we completed
The guarantee does not cover:
- Decoder hardware faults — these remain under MultiChoice's standard warranty
- Storm, lightning, hail or wind damage occurring after the install date
- Theft, vandalism or third-party tampering
- Damage caused by other tradespeople, pest control activities or building work
- Pre-existing wiring, dishes or LNBs that we did not install
- MultiChoice subscription issues, billing matters or service outages
8. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide safe, lawful access to the installation site at the agreed time
- Disclose any relevant safety considerations (asbestos, fragile roofing, dogs, etc.) before work begins
- Ensure that the property owner has consented to the installation where you are not the owner
- Maintain a working power supply and (where streaming features are used) a functional internet connection
- Provide accurate contact details and respond to communications relating to your booking
9. Liability & Indemnity
Our liability is limited to the cost of the original work performed. We will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental or special damages, including but not limited to: loss of business, loss of subscription content, missed entertainment, missed sporting events, missed work-from-home time, or any third-party claims arising from the installation.
You indemnify us against any claims arising from incorrect information you have provided, unauthorised installation requests, or actions by third parties on your premises.
10. Property Damage & Insurance
Our technicians take reasonable care to avoid damage to your property. Wall feed-throughs, ceiling penetrations and roof entry points are sealed and patched to a professional standard. Where unavoidable damage occurs (e.g. ceiling cracks during cable routing), this will be discussed with you upfront where reasonable to do so.
We hold standard public liability insurance covering accidental damage caused directly by our technicians. Claims must be reported in writing within 7 days of the work and will be assessed on the merits of each case.
11. MultiChoice & Third-Party Services
Smart card activation, subscription billing, decoder warranties, channel availability and bouquet contents are managed by MultiChoice South Africa. We assist with smart card pairing as part of DSTV commissioning, but the underlying subscription and content rights are between you and MultiChoice. We are not responsible for MultiChoice billing disputes, channel removals, package changes or service interruptions caused by MultiChoice.
12. Privacy & Data Protection
We collect minimal personal information — name, phone number, email and address — solely to provide the services you have requested. We comply with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data is retained only for as long as needed for service delivery, accounting and legal compliance, after which it is securely deleted.
13. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, design and code — is the property of DSTV Experts Gauteng or our licensors and is protected by South African copyright law. You may not copy, reproduce or republish any content without our written permission.
DStv® and the DStv logo are registered trademarks of MultiChoice South Africa (Pty) Ltd. We use these marks only for descriptive purposes — we are an independent installation provider.
14. Force Majeure
We will not be liable for any failure to perform our services due to events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: acts of nature (storms, floods, lightning), pandemics, civil unrest, government action, supplier failures, telecommunications outages or extreme load-shedding.
15. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising will be settled in good faith between the parties first. Where settlement cannot be reached, disputes will be referred to mediation in Johannesburg, and failing that, to the appropriate Magistrate's Court or the High Court of South Africa, Gauteng Division.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is always published on this page with the effective date at the top. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
